Mike Hunchak

With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Mike Hunchak, who was surrounded by his loving family at the Dulcina Hospice. He is survived by Norma, his devoted wife of 53 years; his children, Sandra (Peter), Todd (Marjorie), Arlene; his brothers, Nick (Helen), Ron (Heidi), David (Brenda); his grandchildren, Caitlin, Melissa (Kyle), Anthony, Brett, Colton; and his special great granddaughter, Zyra. Mike was predeceased by his parents and his brother Bill. Mike was passionate about his family, cinematography, and good conversations. Until his retirement in 1996, he excelled in his work with CBC where he was deemed one of the best cinematographers in Canada. A true gentleman who strived for perfection in all aspects of his life, Mike leaves only cherished memories and lives on in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing his love and sharing his presence.
