Lai Sheung Chung

Ms. Chung Lai Sheung, born November 25, 1925, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 5, 2019 at the Extendicare Hillcrest at the age of 93 years. In 1994, she immigrated to Canada from Hong Kong to be with her family. Her kindness and generosity were felt by all of us and will forever stay in our loving memories. She will be truly missed by all of her family and friends. She was such a lovely and amazing mom. Life has been difficult and there have been times when we felt like giving up when things were not going our way. Each time, she was there to remind us of our worth as human beings.  She was an admirable grand mother. She held a special place in the hearts of her grandkids. She was a fun-loving person who sneaked her grandchildren candy and let them get away with things their parents wouldn’t. She is survived by her children, Simon Yeung (Assunta), Mandy Yeung (Danny Dai), Eric Yeung (Amelia); her grandchildren Maureen (Johnathan Kitching), Calvin Dai (Sandy), Joseph Dai (Keely); and her great-grandchildren Mikayla, Jacquelyn, Charmaine and Keelyn. Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church (400 Edmonton Trail NE) on Monday, June 17, 2019 at 6:30 pm.  Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church on Tuesday, June 18, 2019 at 11:00 am with the Rev. Joseph Nguyen presiding. Graveside service to follow at Queen’s Park Cemetery. Photos, memories and condolences may be shared with Chung family through www.evanjstrong.com.
