Kpa Dem

Mr. Kpa Dem passed away on Saturday, August 25, 2018 in Calgary at the age of 79 years. Mr. Dem was born on January 12, 1939 in the small town of Phu Thien in Vietnam. He was a loving father to his two sons, and a loyal friend and husband. Mr. Dem lived his life with integrity and honesty and always went above and beyond to help family, friends, and even strangers. He was a widower for over 40 years and raised his two sons on his own. At an early age, Mr. Dem went to military school in Vung Tau to become an officer. After graduation, he was stationed in south Vietnam where, in 1968, he met his beautiful wife. Unfortunately, in 1978, his wife passed away. By 1981, he was part of the boat people that immigrated to Canada, where he spent the next 37 years making a comfortable life for himself and his sons. Mr. Dem was an avid fisherman and enjoyed the outdoors immensely. He will be dearly missed. Funeral Liturgy will be held at Evan J.
