Kenneth "Stu" Stuart Laird

Stu Laird, beloved husband of Jan Laird, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 22, 2018 at the age of 80 years.  Besides his loving wife Jan, Stu is survived by his sons Shane and Stu (Pam); grandchildren Matthew and Danielle; sisters Clarice (Truddel), Marg (Marrazzo) and Kathy (Ure). Stu was pre-deceased by his parents Clairmont and Norma and brother Wayne. Stu worked in the banking and financial services industry where he was valued and admired for over 40 years. Those working relationships became friendships that extended well after Stu left the industry. In retirement Stu and Jan enjoyed vacations in warm and sunny destinations. Despite many health complications in later years, Stu never complained and commented daily how lucky he was. In loving memory, a bench will be erected in Glenmore Park. A humble man, Stu requested there be no formal service or memorial. Photos, memories and condolences may be shared with Stu’s family through www.evanjstrong.com.
