Jane Valerie Gatt

Jane Gatt passed away very suddenly on Thursday morning, August 17, 2017, from heart failure, at the age of 62 years. She is survived by her sisters-in-law: Monica (Saviour) and Mariella (Raymond); nieces Claire and Christina; and nephew David. Jane was predeceased by her loving husband, Carmel, and by her mother and father. Jane was a retired teacher's aid who worked with special needs children. Jane was deeply interested in prayer and the spiritual life, being a member of the Community of the Secular Order of Discalced Carmelites in Calgary. She received her brown scapular in 2010 and made her definitive promise in 2015. Jane enjoyed praying, writing, reading, and being with friends. Jane will be deeply missed by her family and many friends. Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers at St. Joseph's Catholic Church (640 - 19 Avenue NW) on Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at 8:00 pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Joseph's Catholic Church (640 - 19 Avenue NW) on Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at 11:00 am with the Rev. Jaroslaw Dziuba Presider.
