Henry passed away peacefully at Dulcina Hospice on September 29, 2019 from gastric cancer. He was born on May 10, 1940 in Hong Kong.
Henry is very passionate about art and graduated from School of Design and Art at the University of Hong Kong. After graduation, he specialized in ice sculpture, butter sculpture, and 3D banners for hotel events such as weddings and functions. He represented Hong Kong in an ice sculpture competition held in Sapporo, Japan and won the silver medal. His sculpture was a 2-story high depiction of a fisherman.
In 1972, that is when he married the love of his life, Christina. They moved to Canada in 1996 as a desired place to retire down the road.
In 1999, Henry represented SAIT in an ice sculpture competition and won a silver medal as well.
He has always been a very kindhearted person; he enjoyed helping people.
After retirement, he volunteered in different Chinese community organizations. Although he was retired, he continued to maintain an active lifestyle by exercising every day. In his free time, he would practice calligraphy and musical instruments such as the erhu and guzheng.
Henry will be forever missed by his family and friends.
