It is with profound sadness that we announce the swift passing of our beautiful wife and mother, Glenna Rae Hope, 58 years, on March 6, 2017. Glenna's journeys with cancer were faced head on, with much bravery and dignity until the very end. Glenna leaves behind her best friend and husband of 41 years, Ross of Airdrie, AB; daughter Stephanie & her partner Robert Klappe (CJ & Shawn) of Crossfield, AB; and son Jonathan & his partner Leah of Ontario. She was the daughter of Carole Enberg, also of Airdrie; special Auntie to Ryan Kirkley (Megan; Max & Grace) and Amy Karasz (Eric; Oliver & Elliot); dear friend of Colleen Lancaster. Glenna is also survived by her siblings, nieces, nephews, mother-in-law and brothers-in-law. Preceded in death by her father, "Papa", Glen Enberg (1987), and treasured friend, a kindred soul, Gail Moerkerken (2015). Glenna was a long-time employee of London Drugs, who began twenty years ago merchandising and proudly worked her way up to the management team as Assistant Store Manager. Her presence will be deeply missed by many friends, colleagues and the team at London Drugs, Airdrie. Glenna filled this world with so much love--she loved through giving to her family and others. We will greatly miss her inspiring compassion and bright smile; her baking specialties of fudge and "pink"; her love of crafting, flowers, birdhouses and gardening; long chats to catch up over coffee; and especially her touch. We express our deep gratitude for the wonderful, compassionate medical professionals who were a part of Glenna's care. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Glenna's life will take place on her birthday (August 26) in her garden--her most favourite place. Expressions of sympathy are welcome as donations to the Airdrie Angel (via Marie 403-542-2588) or to Kidney Cancer Canada (kidneycancercanada.ca).
