Geraldine Margaret "Peggy" Yucytus

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, soul-mate and friend. Peggy passed away unexpectedly, but peacefully on the morning of Tuesday, February 21, 2017 surrounded by her loving family. Peggy was born in Olds, Alberta where she met the love of her life, Jack. They were married in Calgary which became home. Peggy's work life involved time at the Bank of Montreal and the University of Calgary, but she always considered her most important role to be that of 'mom'. We all agree that there wasn't a better one on earth and that was truly her calling. They raised four children which provided them with five grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Through this journey they were able to surround themselves with a large circle of treasured friends. Peggy will be lovingly remembered by her husband Jack, daughters, Michele (Steve Zanini), Mimi (Bill Daniel), Melissa (Craig Wiwchar), son Marty (Kari), five grandchildren, Sarah (Nick), Josh (Alia), Samantha, Zach, Jack, and one great-grandchild, Harlan. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Luke's Catholic Church (corner of Northmount Drive and Northland Drive NW) on Wednesday, March 1, 2017 at 11:30 am.
