George Karol Bordenuik

George Bordenuik passed away on Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at the age of 88 years. He was born in Drumheller, Alberta. George’s parents immigrated from Romania and Ukraine in the 1920’s and he was one of five children, with three brothers (Nick, Bill, and Orest) and a sister (Ann). George played the guitar, and at 18 went touring Alberta with his bandmates for a year. He later travelled to Winnipeg, where on the train he met his future wife Olga. They got married in 1952, welcomed two children Ralph and Gina, living in Winnipeg for 13 years before George and his children moved back to Calgary in 1965. George worked many years in the plastics industry as a pressmen. Later in life, he grew a fondness for mountain biking, skiing, and dancing at many senior’s clubs on weekends. Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects at Evan J.
