Fred DeJong

Our beloved father, Fred “Foppe” DeJong, of Lethbridge/Calgary, passed away in Calgary at Sarcee Care on Wednesday, August 8, 2019 at the age of 93 years. He was predeceased by his loving wife, Florence. Fred is survived by his loving children: Greta (de Groot) of Calgary, Robert of Kelowna, Richard of Vancouver, Norman of Calgary, as well as his ten grandkids and nineteen great grandkids. Fred grew up in Holland and immigrated to Canada in his twenties.  He was known for his passion to create with wood and metal. Throughout his many adventures in life, he faithfully looked forward to meeting his Jesus and Lord. A celebration of his life will be held in Calgary at the Emmanuel Christian Reformed Church (3020 51 St SW) on Saturday, August 31, 2019 at 2:00 pm.
