Fotini Melathopolous Obituary
Foto was born in Thessaloniki, Greece on December 15, 1932 and raised in Nea Manolatha, Greece. Together with her husband George, they immigrated to Calgary in December of 1951. Foto’s 68 years in Calgary were filled with joyous memories of family, friends and her home in Altadore. Her greatest passion was raising her family, and her church.
Foto passed away at her home on Monday, February 25, 2019 at the age of 87 years. She is survived by her sons, Tony (Dawnee), Bill, and Nick (Karen); her grandchildren, Tarren (Kuljeet), Lauren, and Lily; her great grandchildren, Mana and Milan; her beautiful sisters-in law, Zoe (Peter) Petropoulos, Voula Christopher, and Thekli Maniotakis; her cousins; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
A special thank you to the care she received at the Cardiology Unit at the Rockyview General Hospital and Home Care Support.
