Eric Wayne Rasmussen

Eric Rasmussen passed peacefully at home on Monday, May 28th, 2018 at the age of 64 years. He is survived by his wife of nearly 39 years, Juanita; his two sons David (Adam) and Johnathon (Jennifer); grandchildren Keegan and Elliana; his brother Bruce (Jackie) and sister MaryAnn (Tom). Eric was predeceased by his parents Marc and Anna.

Eric’s passions included God’s word, singing in choirs, sports cars, and teaching Math and Science.  He worked in Calgary’s Oil and Gas sector for 40 years. Retirement was not for him, often joking about “freedom 85” and working until the end.  As it turned out he did just that and spent his last year on a mission writing his book “Space the True Frontier! Or When is Grace Not Enough?” which is now published through Christian Faith Publications.

Eric found God as a young adult and remained strong in his faith, even in death.
