Emmanouel Pitaoulis, born March 8, 1944 in Chios, Greece, passed away on August 13, 2018 in Cache Creek, BC after a valiant battle with cancer. Defiant to the end, he never thought cancer would win. In 1990 he moved to BC where he opened many successful restaurants throughout the province. Manoli loved to entertain, and his home and restaurants were always open for his friends and family. He loved pizza, betting on the horses, “hitting the jackpots”, traveling and playing poker with “his kids”, Costa and Effie. Manoli is survived by his partner Debbie Sagert; his brothers Tony (Annalee) and Gus (Vaso); his sister Effie Benekos; as well as many nieces and nephews in Canada and Greece.
