Elva is survived by her life partner and husband, Roberto Alejo Peña; two children, Gio (John) and Roberto (Ana); her grandchildren, Ashley Jane Maria (Cory), Stephany Alyssa, Joshua Roberto, Teaghan Janice Rose, Gabriela Esperanza, and Sofia Alejandra. She is also survived by her siblings, Germania, Napoleón, Franklin, Norma, Edison, and Patrícia. Elva was predeceaced by her parents, Rosa and Francisco; and her brother, Abrahan.
