Elaine Li Chu

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Elaine at the Rockyview General Hospital on Thursday, December 5, 2019 at the age of 70 years.

Elaine was born in Hong Kong to Jeffrey and Lina Li. She immigrated to Canada in 1974 and lived in Vancouver until moving to Calgary in 1978. Elaine enjoyed travelling to Europe, Asia, Africa, Australia, South America and North America. She also loved dogs and fine jewelry. Elaine bought her first apartment building in 1987 and became the owner of Elite Property Development Limited.

Elaine is survived by her husband William Chu; her sons, Ernest of Toronto and Ronald Chu of Calgary; her daughter-in-law, Emily Chu (Ronald); and her grandson Riley Chu (Ronald & Emily).

Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers at Sacred Heart Catholic Church (1307 14 Street SW) on Thursday, December 12, 2019 at 7:00pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Friday, December 13, 2019 at 10:00am. Reception to follow at Silver Dragon Restaurant (106 3 Avenue SE).
