Dimitrios “Jimmy” Tsakalakis

It is with great sadness that we announce that our beloved Dimitrios ‘Jimmy’ Tsakalakis passed away suddenly on June 7, 2018. Born in Calgary, Alberta on June 2, 1983, he was the embodiment of a proud and passionate Greek. That passion was displayed time and time again through his lively sports banter, and his openness and love for his friends and family. The ultimate proud uncle, an incredibly good friend to everyone, and always greeting people with a smile and a hug.  He is survived by his parents Kosta and Katerina; grandmother, Antonia; brother Panagioti (Joumana); sister Antonia (George); nephew Petro, and niece Katerina. Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church (1 Tamarac Crescent SW) on Tuesday, June 12, 2018 at 7:00pm.  Funeral Service will be held at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church on Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at 11:00am with The Rev. Fr.
