Constance "Connie" Agnes (Grzech) Nield

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our mom, Connie Nield, on Monday, November 26, 2018 at the age of 80 years. Mom was born on the family farm in Saskatchewan on November 8, 1938. She graduated as a registered nurse from the Regina Grey Nuns Hospital in 1960. She married our dad, Pat (Lynn Patrick) Nield in 1961. She travelled with dad wherever his job took him. She often said that her resume more closely resembled a travel itinerary. She retired from nursing in 1999. Mom continued to move every few years but for the last few years had called Red Deer, AB home. In her home it was clear for all to see that she loved her family very much. There were photos in her bedroom and den of her grandchildren and family as well as photo albums filled with pictures of the lives of those she loved. She never missed an opportunity to share her photos and stories with anyone who expressed an interest. She is survived by her daughters, Marla (Bruce) Knight, of Sunset House, AB and Karen (Greg) Michelson, of Carbon, AB; her grandchildren, Kate, Victoria and Charlotte Knight and Clayton and Delaney Michelson; her sister, Sylvia Marchuk; her brother, Larry Grzech; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents, Walter and Nellie Grzech. In following mom's final wishes, she was cremated and her remains will be laid to rest with her mother in the Glenavon, Saskatchewan cemetery in the spring, after a small memorial service.
