Our hearts are heavy with sadness and yet deepest gratitude for what our dear husband, father, father in law, Papa, brother-in-law and dearest friend Chester (Ches/Geza) Lazlock has left us as his legacy. Ches peacefully passed away on Wednesday November 2, 2016 after a very brief but hard fought illness. Throughout his life, Ches was so many things to many people including: a sailor who fought bravely in the Royal Canadian Navy in WWII, a diligent engineer with Imperial Oil with many decades of hard work in Alberta, a valuable St. John's Aid instructor and so much more to so many. However, it was as a devoted husband, caring father, and nurturing Papa that he will be most passionately remembered. Truly, a blessed source of pure light in the world for so many, Ches will be sorely missed. Ches is survived by his loving wife Anne, son Ron (Gail), daughter Cathy McKee, sister-in-law Betty Jaksa and grandchildren Carly, Taylor (Brittany), Anyssa, and Rylee McKee. A funeral service in his memory will be held on Monday, November 7, 2016 at St. Luke's Catholic Church - 1566 Northmount Drive NW at 11:00 A.M. internment to follow. The family would like to thank the incredible kind and caring staff at Auburn Bay Retirement Residence for their patient and sympathetic care of Ches during his final months and days and for the year he and Mom lived there.
