Beverley Kernaghan

It is with unimaginable sadness that we announce the passing of our dear mum, Beverley Kernaghan (Clendenning) on November 27, 2019. It was the day we had been dreading the most, and it’s here. Beverley was born in Montreal, Quebec on January 1, 1938 to Marguerite and Russell Clendenning.

Beverley was predeceased by her husband Albert (1994) and her son, Michael (2007). Beverley is survived by her children, her special sons Pat (Joyce) and Tommy; her loving daughter and best friend Debbie (special son-in-law Garth); her wonderful grandchildren Ashlee (Justin), Derrick, and Dillon (Sarah); her loving sister June and brother-in-law Willie Mooney (Montreal); wonderful nieces and nephews; and extended family and friends.

In recent months, mum traveled home to Montreal to visit her home and the area where she grew up. She got to spend time with family and friends whom she loved very much.

Mum was worried about leaving us. She would say… “You guys need to be okay with me leaving, we are all going to leave one day.” Easier said than done when you have a mother/mother-in-law/granny who is the most selfless, caring, and loving person ever. We feel blessed and honored to love you. Life will never be the same without you and there is not a single day that we won’t talk or think about you. Be free, mum, rest in peace. You deserve that. No more suffering. Don’t worry about us, we will be okay. We will see you again. We will love you forever. God has blessed you.

In honoring our mum’s wishes, there will be no funeral service. Instead, if mum holds a special place in your heart, please celebrate her.
