Antonio Ferrise

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, Antonio Ferrise on Tuesday, December 11,2018 at the age of 87 years. Antonio was born in San Giovanni in Fiore, Italy, on August 27, 1931. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 59 years, Angela; sister, Isabella Pignanelli; son, Sam (Marisa); daughter, Maria (Luciano); grandchildren, Anthony (Alison), Angelina, Alessandro (Daniela), and Marco; great-granddaughter Elizabeth; along with numerous sister-in-laws, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Antonio was predeceased by his father, Salvatore; mother, Maria; brother, Gabrielle; father-in-law, Domenico; mother-in-law Isabella; and numerous bothers-in-law and cousins. Antonio immigrated to Canada in 1971, with his wife and two young children. Through his hard work, selflessness, and generosity he provided a stable home filled with love and happiness. He is forever in our hearts, and forever will be missed. Funeral Mass will be held at Canadian Martyrs Catholic Church (835 Northmount Drive NW) on Saturday, December 15, 2018 at 10:30 am.  Graveside Service to follow at Queen’s Park Cemetery.  Photos, memories and condolences may be shared with Antonio’s family through www.evanjstrong.com.  In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made directly to the Heart and Stroke Foundation (110-1525 Carling Avenue, Ottawa, ON, K1Z 8R9; 1-888-473-4636; https://www.heartandstroke.ca/).
