It is with great sadness that the family of Antonia Oliverio wishes to announce her passing at the Carewest Fanning Centre on Saturday, October 13, 2018 at the age of 83 years. Antonia was born on November 7, 1934 in San Giovanni in Fiore, Italy. She married her husband Giuseppe in 1954. In 1974 they moved their family to Canada for a better life. Antonia is survived by her four children, Rosa (Rob) Verardi, Biagio (Gemma) Oliverio, Vittorio (Kathy) Oliverio, and Natale (Nadia) Oliverio. She was blessed with nine grandchildren, Angela, Antonella, Serafino, Kimberly, Cara, Joseph, Olivia, Lucas, and Joel; and three great grandchildren, Jayden, Savannah, and Blake. Antonia is also survived by two sisters, Teresa La Rosa and Maria (Antonio) Loria; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Giuseppe Oliverio, and her precious granddaughter Kimberly Oliverio. Antonia loved to cook dinners for her family and loved Italian soap operas and game shows. Most importantly, Antonia loved to spend time with her grandchildren. She found great joy in being involved in raising, nurturing and caring for all of them. Her great grandchildren were the light of her life, lifting her spirits as she cuddled and celebrated the gift of this next generation. She also loved spending time with friends and family, sharing stories of old and new. She will be deeply missed but forever in our hearts.
