Alice Leone Argent Leighton of Calgary, AB passed away peacefully on Wednesday September 26, 2018 at the age of 85 years, after succumbing to a series of strokes.
Alice also known as Ali-Bubba to her children & grandchildren was a positive, faithful and upbeat mother, woman and friend, always finding the good in life and in people. She lived her life independently on her own terms with faith and compassion until her last breath. She loved to walk in her favorite places such as Fish Creek Park, Weaselhead, Heritage Park and also around her serene apartment grounds at Hays Farm Apartments. She always said she lived in a "Little Piece of Paradise" as she loved planting and tending to her tiny vegetable garden with the birds, rabbits and squirrels just outside her patio door. Alice was an inspiration to all who knew her and she was steadfast and valiant in her testimony of the Gospel and her faith and reliance on Heavenly Father and the Savior. She had no regrets about life and was prepared and excited to complete her earthly sojourn and move into the eternities.
Alice is now with her parents Carl and Esther, sisters Jeanie and Vivian and brother Jack in Heaven. She will truly be missed by her family and many friends from the LDS church and Hays Farm apartments. Alice is survived by her brother Don Argent and her sons Rich (Jan), Terry (Laurie), Jack (Esther); daughter Lori (Eliza); grandchildren Tanner (Lily), Grayson (Jenn), Christopher, Jessica, Caleb, Elandra and great granddaughter Pearl.
