Albert "Bill" Ermter Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that Bill’s family announce his passing at home on June 29, 2018. Bill is survived by Marilyn, his loving wife of 50 years; his daughters Cynthia (David) Dores, Kristine (Mario) Vargas Solis; grandchildren Alexander, Ashley, Alessia and Alejandro. He is also survived by 3 brothers, Jack (Darlene), Bob (Joanie) and Roy; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Bill was predeceased by his parents William and Gertrude. Bill was born in Prince Albert, SK. The family moved to Calgary in 1944 and he graduated from Western Canada High School in 1955. He worked with AGT from 1957 to 1965 and was always on loan to SAIT. Bill then attended the University of Alberta, graduating in the fall of 1974 with a B.Ed. He was an instructor and department head of the Electronics Department at SAIT, retiring in 1991. Always up and doing weekend projects by 7:00am, Bill’s neighbours gave him the nickname “Early Ermter”.
