We are deeply saddened to announce that Charlie Tsu passed away peacefully on March 15, 2024, at Foothills Hospital. He was surrounded with love from his family.
He will forever be in the hearts of his wife Evelyn, son Kurtney, sister Maria, brother Larry and granddaughter Charley, who was named after him.
Charlie was born in Rangoon, Burma (Myanmar) on September 16, 1949. He and his family moved to Hong Kong, where he would learn to repair airplanes and would eventually go on to piloting them. He was the kind of person that could accomplish anything he put his mind to.
The whole family decided to move to Calgary where they currently reside. This is where he met Evelyn. They would be together day and night for 48 years. Charlie and Evelyn extensively travelled the world in their golden years, with Italy being their favourite destination. They also enjoyed a nice daily stroll in CrossIron Mills.
Though he was a man of few words, he showed his love through acts of kindness and helping others. He also had a sneaky, wry wit. Although he will be truly missed, we find comfort in knowing that he will no longer have to suffer from the health issues that have plagued him in the past few years.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Ascension Catholic Church (1100 Berkshire Blvd NW) on Thursday, March 21, 2024 at 11:00 am
