Roy Terry Vermeylen

Roy Terry Vermeylen passed away December 19, 2016 as a result of a motor vehicle collision at the age of 61 years. Although our hearts are heavy, we cling to our Savior and His promise that we will meet again. Rev 21:3,4 . Beloved husband of Carell; father of Aimee; papa of Freddy; son of Stella; brother of George, Neva (Eldon), Gary, and Ron (Leao). Roy was predeceased by a nephew, Dwayne and sister-in-law, Myrna. After 36 years, Roy retired from the City of Calgary. He especially enjoyed working the last year there helping with the startup of the recycling program. Roy worked the last 4 years with Alberta Traffic Supply, where God blessed him with outstanding abilities as a technician. He also loved vehicle restoration and the relationships he developed with many kindred spirits. All who knew Roy spoke of his kindness and giving spirit. He will be dearly missed by all his friends and co-workers. A Celebration of Roy's Life will be at Foothills Alliance Church (333 Edgepark Blvd. NW) on Friday, December 30, 2016 at 1:30 pm.
