Anne Nicholls

Anne Nicholls (nee Hrynyshyn), beloved wife of Bill Nicholls passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, October 24, 2017 at the age of 80 years. Anne was born in Kinuso, Alberta on December 4, 1936. After graduating from high school she moved to Edmonton. Anne worked in a variety of clerical positions in the Edmonton area. She retired from the Alberta Motor Association where she worked for 25 years as an accounting clerk. Anne spent 5 years in France where her daughters Sherri and Sandy were born. The family returned to Edmonton in 1962. Tanya was born in 1971, making the family complete. Anne was a loving, caring mother and worked hard to provide for her children. In 1995 Anne married Bill Nicholls and they had 22 years of love and happiness. Anne is survived by her loving husband Bill; sister Kaye Stasow; daughters Sherri Rozak (Clarence), Sandy Whitwham (Peter), and Tanya Porteous; stepchildren Martin, Greig (Brenda), Leslie, Lynnette (Ian); grandchildren Jeff (Jamie), Janelle (Brent), Carlie, Ryan, Makayla; great grandchildren, Hannah and Spencer; and many step grandchildren and great grandchildren. Anne is also survived by her nephews Rick Stasow (Judy), Allan Stasow (Bridget); great nephews Dustin (Jolene), Cody, Brayden and Cole. The family would like to thank the staff at the Sheldon M. Chumir Chronic Kidney Disease Clinic and Homecare staff for their care during Anne's illness. Funeral Service will be celebrated at Evan J Strong Funeral Services (5502 2 St SW) on Monday, October 30, 2017 at 11:00 am.
